Thread: Saving And Adopting A Newborn Kitten With Umbilical Cord Still Attached

There can be many reasons in the wild for which even the most loving animal mommas would reject one of their babies. Nature is cruel like that. And though we don't know the exact reason behind the abandonment of this itty bitty kitty in this story, we can only be thankful that it turned out the way it did.

Abandoned by its mom, a newborn kitten with its eyes still closedand the umbilical cord still attached to it was thankfully found by YucateCosa's neighbor. Following that, after getting lucky approximately 53 more times, this kitten found its new forever home. Thank you to YucateCosa for taking care of her and giving her the love and care that she deserved. Few could have and would have done what you did, and we are so, so thankful.

Thank goodness your neighbor found this itty bitty kitten when he did. Without her momma, we know she would not have been long for this world. With the umbilical cord still attached and an immediate need for warmth and shelter, we can only be grateful to everyone involved in the process of saving her for doing what they did.

The number of things that had to go right for this kitten to survive are astounding. She is clearly a miracle kitten, and even more clearly, this is the home in which she belongs. Thank you, again, for all of the effort and for not giving up on this little baby not just in the beginning but at every point in the process.
